Are you a leader or a driver? A governor or an enslaver? Really? Where’s the evidence?

The attack on free public education in a democracy—whether it focuses on teachers, administrators, unions, whatever, is, at bottom, an attack on democracy itself, since an educated public is the only secure foundation for a democracy, after a free press. That does not mean we can’t improve how we educate the next generation.
