What do you need to do to become more patient? Why do I find it so difficult at times?

As a child I knew an Italian woman thought by some to be wise, besides being old. She was the sacristan at the local church, where I was an altar boy. Whenever consulted on any matter, her response was always the same: “Santa pazienza!” (Patience is a holy thing).
