If politicians lived on praise and thanks they’d be forced into some other line of business.

This year will be harder than last year. On the other hand, it will be easier than next year.

Few trends could so thoroughly undermine the very foundations of our free society as the acceptance by corporate officials of a social responsibility other than to make as much money for their shareholders as possible. Put another way, making dividends for shareholders is the sole task of corporate management. Forcing any social responsibility on corporations would undermine our free society.
